When Raja met Jennie

So I'm not a huge fan of music.  Jennie is a huge fan of music.  So it's kind of weird that we met at a Cloud Cult concert, in the High Noon Saloon, four years ago in April.  I went with my friends DC and Erica Schitwzer.  To this day, I'm not sure why I went.  Like I said, I'm not a huge fan of live music.  That doesn't mean I don't like Cloud Cult.  I think they're good.  In fact, they hold a place close to my heart because it's where I met Jennie, but I digress, I'm rambling.

So I'm listening to the concert, drinking some beers, all in all, having a great time.  Concert ends, and DC, Erica, and I are milling about.  I think we were trying to figure out what to do next when DC and Erica run into people that they knew from Luther.  I didn't go to Luther, so I was on the outside of the circle looking in.  Guess who also didn't go to Luther, was at the concert, and friends of the people DC and Erica were talking to.  That's right, it was the pope.  Just kidding, it was Jennie.  She was standing next to me while our friends talked, and I think I made a comment about how we should start talking because neither of us went to Luther.  We introduced ourselves to each other and started talking.  I gotta say at this point in my life, I had given up on dating.  So I was pleasantly surprised when I asked for Jennie's phone number and she gave it to me.

We left each other that night, with me thinking if I should call Jennie.  After talking to DC, I decided to plan a double date with DC and Erica B. at Babes.  This was the beginning of a number of ambiguous outings.  Following the ambiguous double date (as a note to people, don't do a double date as a first date), we rode bike to Vitense to take some swipes in the batting cages.  That night ended with us going to a birthday party for CPR (Jennie's good friend from grad school) and me leaving the party because I didn't know anyone.  At this point, I'm sure Jennie was wondering what the hell was going on.  Were we just friends or more?  I was very "into" Jennie, but I am not what you would call "lady's man".

After the Vitense outing, we then had dinner at the Great Dane.  I admit, I don't remember the conversation, but after dinner we walked to my apartment on Wisconsin and Gorham.  We talked outside my apartment for awhile before we kissed.  Fast forward to today, after sharing so many awesome times with each other, Jennie and I set out to start a new life together.  Cheers and thanks for reading.
